Description
The Slate is an ultra slim flat panel wall light, offered in black or silver, with a choice of three colour temperatures. It sits close to the wall and reads as a line of light rather than a fixture, which is what makes it work in a narrow passage or beside a gate where a deeper sconce would catch a shoulder.
Both finishes take the same panel. Black disappears against a dark facade and reads as a shadow gap by day. Silver lifts against brick and render and picks up daylight, so it stays visible as a detail rather than vanishing. Neither is more weatherproof than the other, so choose on how you want it to sit on the wall.
Three colour temperatures are available across both finishes. Warm white at 3000K is the softer, more welcoming tone and suits a door or a courtyard. Natural white at 4000K sits in the middle and is the safest choice across mixed surfaces. Cool white at 6000K is crisp and suits a service door or a working area. The housing is sealed to IP65 for fully exposed positions and hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection.

How far does it project from the wall?
Only 2 cm. It measures 11 cm wide, 12 cm tall and 2 cm deep, so it sits almost flush. That makes it a good choice beside a gate that swings back, or along a side return people carry bicycles through.
How high should I mount it?
Around 183 cm works well. At that height it gives a clean pool of light over a doorway or a path without putting glare at eye level. Lower than that and you look straight into the face as you approach; much higher and the light spreads thinner than eight hundred lumens deserves.
Warm or white light?
Three are offered across both finishes. Warm white at 3000K is soft and yellow and suits a door or a courtyard. Natural white at 4000K sits in the middle and is the safest choice over mixed brick and render. Cool white at 6000K is crisp and suits a service door or a working area.
Does it need shelter above it?
No. It is rated IP65, which covers full weather exposure, so it can go on a bare wall with no porch roof, soffit or overhang. The powder coated aluminium finish holds up against sun and salt air, so a coastal position or a fully open stretch of facade is fine.
Is there a bulb to replace?
No. The LED is integrated, so there is nothing to source and nothing to change. Output is fixed at eight watts, around eight hundred lumens, in the colour temperature you order. It is hardwired to a switched outdoor circuit, and is offered in 110-120V and 220-240V, so match your supply.
