Where A Pendant Cannot Go
Low porch soffits, covered walkways, carports, balcony undersides and garage ceilings rarely leave room for anything that hangs, and a bare bulkhead looks wrong. At 8 cm deep this sits tight against the ceiling instead.
Size Up For Outdoors
Three sizes run from 1800 to 5000 lumens, and the acrylic spreads the LED so the whole face lights rather than showing a bright centre. Outdoors light falls off faster than people expect, so the larger size is usually right.
Black Aluminium, Hidden Fixings
The frame is aluminium and the housing is sealed to IP65 for wind driven rain and full exposure. It arrives preassembled and mounts directly against the ceiling with no visible fixings once the trim is on.
Frequently asked questions
Which version should I choose?
The square versions come in 12W, 18W and 24W. A 12W suits a small porch or a side entrance where you only need to see the step. A 24W will light a double carport or a garage bay on its own. The round and small square versions are the compact options, right for a tight soffit or a run of fittings along a walkway.
Which colour temperature?
Two are offered on every version. Warm white at 3000K is softer and suits a porch or a covered walkway where people arrive. Cold white at 6000K is crisper and shows detail more honestly, which is what you want in a garage or carport where you are actually working.
Should I size up?
Usually yes. Light falls off faster outdoors than people expect, and a fitting that looks ample indoors can leave the edges of a carport dim. If you are between the medium and the large, take the large. Two smaller units spaced along a long covered passage also work well.
How does it mount?
It sits directly against the ceiling, only 8 cm deep, and hardwires to a standard fixed connection. There are no visible fixings once the trim is on. It arrives preassembled, so installation is a matter of wiring it and screwing it up, with no drop or chain to allow for.
Is it sealed against rain?
The housing is sealed to IP65, which covers wind driven rain under an open sided structure as well as full exposure. The frame is aluminium and the diffuser is acrylic, spreading the LED evenly so the whole face lights rather than showing a bright centre and dim corners. The LED is integrated.
