The Anstey is a wide, very shallow fixture, 20 cm across but projecting less than five centimetres from the wall. That flatness is the whole idea. On a narrow pier, beside a door frame or along a passage where anything bulky would be in the way, it gives you a proper light source without anything to catch a shoulder or a bag on the way past. Five finishes are offered, so you can pick the one that suits the building rather than accepting a single option.

Sand black, sand white, granite, marble and brown cover most facades. At 500 lumens it is a moderate output, right for marking a doorway, lighting a step or washing a short section of wall, rather than for illuminating a driveway. Used in a run at even spacing it produces a rhythm of soft pools that reads as designed rather than added later.

The body is aluminium throughout with an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy and nothing to replace over its working life. It is weather rated for exposed positions and hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection. Because it sits so close to the wall it also works well on a covered balcony or a walkway where clearance is tight.
