Description
The Calder is a tall, very narrow column of frosted acrylic, only 8 cm wide but available in heights up to 145 cm. Standing vertically beside a door or a garage opening it reads as a line of light rather than as a fixture, which is the whole point of it. The acrylic diffuses the LED completely, so there is no bulb visible and no hot spot anywhere along its length.
Five heights cover everything from a 55 cm marker beside a side gate to a 145 cm run flanking a double garage door. Because output scales with height, the taller versions carry real usable brightness rather than being purely decorative objects. A matched pair either side of an entrance is the arrangement this fixture was designed around, and it is where it looks best.
The material is acrylic throughout with a black cap at each end, and the LED is integrated so there is nothing to replace over its life. It hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection and mounts flush against the wall. Note that the longer sizes are genuinely large objects, so measure your wall height carefully before choosing anything above 120 cm.

Is the light source visible?
No. The body is frosted acrylic all the way along, so the LED behind it is diffused completely. You see an even line of light with no bulb showing and no bright patch at any point on the column. That is the main reason to choose it over a fixture with a clear lens.
Can it go on an exposed wall?
Yes. It is sealed to IP65 and rated for fully exposed positions, so a front elevation, a garage wall or an entryway with nothing overhead is fine. It hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection and mounts flush against the wall, which keeps the profile tight to the surface and the fixings out of sight.
Do I ever need to change a bulb?
