Description

A tall garden bollard with a stainless steel frame and a faux dolomite shade, made in three heights. The small stands 55 cm, the medium 70 cm, and the large 95 cm. The stone effect shade softens the light rather than casting it in a hard pool.

Output scales with size. The small draws twenty watts for around two thousand lumens, the medium twenty four watts for twenty four hundred, and the large forty eight watts for forty eight hundred. Those are substantial figures for a bollard, so consider how much light the space actually needs before reaching for the largest. LEDs are integrated, meaning no bulb to buy and none to replace.

The rating is IP44, which means it handles rain but is happier with some shelter rather than standing in the open through a full winter. A position under the edge of a tree canopy, along a wall, or beneath an overhang will extend its life. Wiring runs directly to a switched outdoor circuit, so plan the cable route before you set the fixture in place, and use conduit for any buried run. Set the smaller sizes along a path and reserve the tallest for open ground.

Sandell Tall Dolomite Bollard, Black White LED Garden Bollard Path Lig

Marking A Path Clearly

Set the small and medium along a path or border where you want the edge readable underfoot, and keep the tallest for open ground. IP44 means it prefers some shelter, so a spot under a canopy or beside a wall suits it.

Outdoor lighting in use

Stone Effect Softens The Beam

The faux dolomite shade spreads the light rather than dropping it in a hard pool, so the ground reads evenly instead of showing bright discs between dark gaps. Output climbs from two thousand lumens on the small to forty eight hundred on the large.

Stainless Steel, Wired In

The frame is stainless steel and the LEDs are integrated, so nothing needs buying or replacing. Wiring runs to a switched outdoor circuit, which means planning the cable route and using conduit for any buried run before the bollard is set in place.

Frequently asked questions

Which height should I choose?

Three are offered. The small stands 55 cm and suits a path edge or a border where you only want the ground marked. The medium is 70 cm. The large is 95 cm and is best kept for open ground, where a shorter bollard would simply disappear.

Can it stand out in the open all winter?

It is rated IP44, which means it handles rain but is happier with some shelter. Standing in the open through a full winter is not the ideal position for it. Under the edge of a tree canopy, along a wall or beneath an overhang will extend its life, so plan the position with that in mind before you dig.

Do I need to buy bulbs?

No. The LEDs are integrated, so there is no bulb to fit and none to replace later. Output is fixed by the size you choose: twenty watts for around two thousand lumens on the small, twenty four watts for twenty four hundred on the medium, and forty eight watts for forty eight hundred on the large.

Warm or white light?

Every size is offered in warm light at 3000K and white light at 5000K. Warm sits comfortably in a planted garden and next to brick or timber. White at 5000K is crisper and shows detail more clearly, which suits a driveway or a modern paved scheme. Pick one temperature and use it across the whole run.

How is it powered?

Wiring runs directly to a switched outdoor circuit, so it is a fixed installation rather than a plug in fitting. Plan the cable route before you set the bollard in position and use conduit for any buried section. Doing that first avoids lifting paving or digging out a border twice.
