Description

The Fenwick Compact is a slim outdoor wall light in black or white, built for the places a normal sconce does not fit. A narrow door reveal, a tight side passage, the wall beside a gate. It sits close to the wall and stays out of the way of a shoulder or a wheelie bin.

It comes in three outputs in each finish. The 6W is an accent, right for marking a doorway or lining a passage with several fittings. The 12W is the middle choice and covers most door and gate positions on its own. The 20W is a genuine working light for a driveway wall or a wider service area where one fixture has to do the job.

All six versions run warm light, which is the tone that flatters brick, render and timber and keeps a boundary feeling welcoming rather than institutional. There is no cool white option on this fixture. The body is aluminium, the LED is integrated so there is no bulb to source or replace, and the housing is sealed to IP65 for fully exposed positions with nothing overhead.

Fenwick Compact Wall Light, Slim Black White IP65 Waterproof LED Outdo

Fits A Narrow Return

On a narrow return, beside a door frame, along a corridor or under a low soffit most outdoor sconces are simply too deep. This one projects barely 3 cm, so it sits where the others cannot without giving up output.

Outdoor lighting in use

Up And Down Wash

Light spreads up and down from the face rather than spilling forward, so it puts brightness on the wall and the ground instead of into the eyes of anyone walking towards it. Fitted at head height it never reaches a window opposite.

Aluminium Body, Sealed Face

The aluminium body carries an integrated LED with nothing to replace over its life, behind a polycarbonate face sealed to IP65. It hardwires to a fixed outdoor connection and sits flat enough to keep a row along a boundary looking clean.

Frequently asked questions

How far does it stick out from the wall?

It projects only 3 cm, and the face is 17 cm wide by 9 cm high. That shallow depth is the whole point of the fixture. It lets you light a narrow return, a door reveal, a corridor or a low soffit where a deeper sconce would be knocked or would simply not fit.

Is it bright enough for a doorway?

Yes. It produces 1200 lumens from 12 watts, which is more than the proportions suggest and enough to properly light a doorway or a short section of path. The output goes up and down the wall rather than forward, so the brightness lands on surfaces rather than in the eyes of anyone approaching.

Which output should I choose?

Three are offered in each finish. The 6W is an accent, right for marking a doorway or lining a passage with several fittings. The 12W covers most door and gate positions on its own. The 20W is a genuine working light for a driveway wall or a wider service area.

Can it go where there is nothing overhead?

Yes. The housing is sealed to IP65, so it is rated for fully exposed positions with no soffit or overhang above it. The body is aluminium with a polycarbonate diffuser, and it hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection, so it needs a fixed supply rather than a plug and a socket.

What colour is the light?

Warm light on all six versions. There is no cool white option on this fixture. Warm is the tone that flatters brick, render and timber and keeps a boundary or an entrance feeling welcoming rather than institutional, which is usually what you want on the outside of a house.
