Description

The Morley is a flat panel wall sconce that sits close to the wall and throws an even, diffused light rather than a hard beam. It suits a doorway, a driveway wall or a boundary where you want the fitting to read as a quiet rectangle of light rather than as a piece of hardware.

Three panel designs are offered, listed as A, B and C. They share the same body and the same output, and differ in the face pattern and how the light is broken up across it. Pick on how much you want the fitting to announce itself: one design is plainer and disappears into a facade, the others carry more of a pattern and read as a detail in their own right.

Two colour temperatures are available on all three designs. Warm white is soft and yellow, flatters brick and render, and is the safer choice beside a front door. Cold white is crisper and shows detail more honestly, which suits a driveway or a service entrance. Use one temperature across a whole elevation, because mixing them is very obvious at night. The housing is sealed to IP65 for fully exposed positions and hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection.

Morley Panel Wall Sconce, Black White IP65 Waterproof LED Outdoor Pane

Sized For The Wall

Profile A is a wide horizontal block, B the same shape turned vertical, C a longer low bar. A horizontal fixture suits a wide elevation and a vertical one flatters a narrow pier. Match the fitting to the wall you have.

Outdoor lighting in use

A Clean Lit Rectangle

The polycarbonate face spreads the LED evenly, so you see a lit rectangle instead of a bright point source. That keeps it comfortable to look towards at close range beside a door, while the larger versions push 3000 lumens across a driveway.

Aluminium Sealed To IP65

The body is aluminium with an integrated LED, so there is nothing to replace over its working life. It is sealed to IP65 for fully exposed positions with nothing overhead, and it hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between designs A, B and C?

They share the same body and the same output and differ in the face pattern and how the light is broken up across it. Pick on how much you want the fitting to announce itself: one is plainer and disappears into a facade, the others carry more pattern and read as a detail in their own right.

How bright are the different sizes?

Output runs from 1200 lumens on the smaller versions up to 3000 lumens on the largest C. The A small at 12W and 1200 lumens is right beside a door. The A large at 20W and 2000 lumens covers more wall. Step up to the C large where the light has to reach across a driveway.

Is it suitable for a fully exposed wall?

Yes. The housing is sealed to IP65, which is rated for fully exposed positions with nothing overhead, so an open elevation, a driveway wall or a gable is fine. That is a step beyond fixtures that need a porch roof or a deep overhang to get through a wet winter.

Is there a bulb to replace?

No. It uses an integrated LED, so there is no lamp to source or change over its working life. The trade off is that the fixture is a sealed unit rather than something you fit a new bulb into. Choose the size on output at the start, because you cannot raise the brightness later.

How is it fitted and how far does it stand off the wall?

It hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection, so it needs a supply at the mounting point. All six versions share the same shallow depth, so whichever profile and size you pick it sits close to the wall, which is what keeps it discreet against modern cladding rather than standing proud of it.
