Description

The Sweep is an arc spotlight sconce that stands off the wall and rakes its light across the surface behind it. On brick, stone or textured render that is the whole point: the raking beam picks up every joint and shadow and gives a flat wall depth after dark, which a flat wash never does.

It is offered in six outputs, from 2W up to 12W, in either black or white. The low outputs are accent lights, right for a garden wall or a run of fittings where the effect comes from repetition rather than brightness. The 10W and 12W are proper facade lights, enough to carry a wide stone wall or a driveway boundary on their own. Choose the finish on how you want it to read by day: black recedes against dark brick, white lifts against pale render.

Three colour temperatures are available across every version. Warm white flatters brick, stone and timber and is the safe choice on a house front. Natural white at 4000K sits in the middle and reads honestly over mixed materials. Cool white is crisp and more functional. The body is aluminium, the LED is integrated so there is no bulb to source, and the housing is sealed to IP65 for fully exposed walls with nothing overhead.

Sweep Arc Spotlight Sconce, Black IP65 Waterproof Multi Head LED Outdo

Choose Your Head Count

Two heads is a discreet accent beside a door. Twelve is a broad fan covering a whole section of wall in overlapping beams. The larger counts are wide fixtures, so measure the run of wall you have before deciding.

Defined Beams, Not Wash

The arc stands off the wall so the beam rakes across the surface behind it. On brick, stone or textured render that picks up every joint and shadow and gives a flat wall depth after dark, which a flat wash never does.

Matte Black, Nothing To Replace

The body is matte black aluminium with the LED integrated, so there is no bulb to source. It is weather rated for exposed positions. Mount it a little away from the surface you are lighting to let the beams spread.

Frequently asked questions

Which output should I choose?

Six are offered, from 2W to 12W. The low outputs are accent lights, right for a garden wall or a run of fittings where the effect comes from repetition rather than brightness. The 10W and 12W are proper facade lights, enough to carry a wide stone wall or a driveway boundary on their own.

What surfaces does it suit?

Textured ones. Because the light comes from individual heads rather than a diffused face, the beams stay defined and reveal the grain of brick, stone and rough render. On smooth painted walls the effect is much weaker, since there is no texture for the separate beams to pick out.

Is it bright enough to light an area?

No, and it is not meant to be. Output rises with head count from 200 lumens on the two head version to 1200 on the twelve, so none of these is a floodlight. The appeal is the pattern of separate beams across a wall rather than the overall brightness of the fixture.

Warm or white light?

Every head count comes in warm 3000K or white 6000K. Warm 3000K suits brick and stone and keeps the beams looking soft against a garden wall. White 6000K is much cooler and picks out grey render and concrete more sharply. Choose one and keep it consistent along a wall or a boundary.

How far from the wall should it be mounted?

Mount it a little away from the surface you are lighting so the beams have room to spread before they land. Widths run from 7.5 cm on the two head version to 18 cm on the six head, with the larger counts wider still, so allow clearance either side as well.
