Description
The Pike is a small square head on a folding pivot, so you point the beam where you actually want it rather than accepting a fixed throw. It is deliberately unobtrusive, the sort of fixture that disappears against a wall by day and only announces itself at night. Aim it up a column, across a textured wall, or straight down onto a step.
This is a task light rather than an ambient one. Its output is concentrated into a directed beam, which makes it good for washing a specific feature: a house number, a piece of planting, a doorway, the corner of a garage. Several fitted along a wall and angled the same way produce an even rhythm of light pools rather than a flat wash.
It is offered in black, in grey, and in a black version with a built in motion sensor that brings the light up when someone approaches. It takes a GU10 bulb rather than an integrated LED, and the bulb is included in the colour you choose: warm white, cool white or natural white. That means you can change the light colour later without replacing the fixture. The body is aluminium, it is weather rated for exposed use, and it hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection.

Can I change the angle after fitting?
Yes. The head folds on a pivot and adjusts by hand once the fixture is mounted, so you can set the aim on site and change it later if planting grows or you move something. That is the main reason to choose it over a fixed sconce with a set throw.
Does it take a bulb or is the LED built in?
It takes a standard GU10 bulb, and one is included in the colour you choose. That is an advantage over an integrated LED: if the light reads too cool or too warm once it is up, you swap the bulb rather than the fixture, and you replace the bulb rather than the whole light years from now.
What is the motion sensor version?
It is the black body with a sensor built in, so the light comes up when someone approaches rather than staying on. It suits a side passage, a back door or a bin store where you want light on arrival. The plain black and grey versions have no sensor and are the ones to choose for feature lighting.
Which bulb colour should I choose?
Warm white reads soft and yellow and flatters brick, stone and planting. Cool white is crisper and suits a garage or a service area. Natural white sits between the two and is the safest choice if you are lighting a mix of surfaces. Because it is a GU10, you can change your mind later.
Can it go on an exposed wall?
Yes. It is IP65 weather rated for exposed positions, so a wall, a pier or a fence with nothing overhead is fine. It hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection and runs on 110 to 120V and 220 to 240V, so it needs a supply at the mounting point rather than a plug.
