Description

The Bramley is a compact aluminium block that throws light up the wall and down it from a small footprint. At around 10 cm wide and 12 cm high it is a quiet fixture, suited to a back door, a side return, a garage entrance or a set of steps where you want the wall lit without a large fitting taking over.

Two output levels are offered. The 6W version marks a doorway. The 12W version at 1200 lumens genuinely lights a working area such as a bin store or a parking space. Both put the light on the surface rather than out into the space, so you get usable brightness at the door without a glare source at head height.

The body is aluminium in black or white with an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to replace at any point. It is IP65 rated for fully exposed positions with nothing overhead, and hardwires to a standard fixed connection. There is no sensor and no switch on the fitting itself, so it comes on with whatever circuit it is wired to.

  • Aluminium body and shade in black or white

Bramley Sensor Cube Sconce, Black IP65 Waterproof LED Motion Sensor Se

Quiet At A Back Door

Fit it at a back door, a side return, a garage entrance or a set of steps and the wall is lit without a large fitting taking over. The light goes onto the surface rather than out into the space, so there is no glare source at head height.

Outdoor lighting in use

Two Outputs, One Shape

The 6W version at 600 lumens is enough to mark a doorway or a set of steps. The 12W at 1200 lumens genuinely lights a working area, so a bin store or a parking space becomes usable rather than just visible.

Aluminium Body, No Bulbs

The body is aluminium in black or white with the LED built in, so there is nothing to unscrew or replace. At around 10 cm wide and 12 cm high it stays quiet on the wall it is fixed to.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose the black or the white version?

Both are offered in either wattage. Black recedes against dark cladding, grey render and modern brickwork and keeps the fitting visually quiet in daylight. White sits better on pale render, painted brick or a light garage wall. The up and down light distribution is identical either way.

Is 6W or 12W right for my spot?

The 6W version gives 600 lumens, which marks a doorway or a set of steps clearly. The 12W version gives 1200 lumens and lights a working area properly, so choose it for a bin store, a parking space or a garage entrance where you actually need to see what you are doing.

Which colour temperature should I pick?

Every variant is offered in warm light at 3000K or white light at 6000K. Warm 3000K sits comfortably at a back door or against brick and reads as domestic. White 6000K is the crisper, more utilitarian choice and suits a garage entrance or a parking space where the light is doing a security job.

Can it go on a wall with nothing above it?

Yes. It is IP65 weather rated for exposed positions, so it does not need a porch roof or an overhang to sit under. It hardwires to a standard fixed connection, which means you need a cable brought to the mounting point rather than an outdoor socket nearby.

Where should I mount it?

Put it at the door, the gate or the set of steps you want lit, at a height where the up and down wash covers the wall rather than throwing light at head height. There is no sensor and no switch on the fitting itself, so it comes on with whatever circuit it is wired to, which is worth settling before you pick the position.
