Description

The Ellery is a horizontal cylinder banded with a raised ring, in black aluminium with a polycarbonate diffuser at each end. The ring is a small piece of retro detailing that changes the fixture completely: without it this would be a plain tube, and with it the piece has a period suggestion that suits an older building or an industrial conversion. It is a shape that suits brick and painted timber better than smooth modern render.

Two versions are offered, single ended and double ended. The single throws light one way at 1200 lumens, which suits a fixture mounted high where you only want a downward wash. The double at 2400 lumens throws both up and down and covers far more wall, which is the better choice at eye level or on a large plain elevation.

Both share the same 26 cm width and shallow 10 cm height, so they sit close to the wall and do not intrude on a passage. The LED is integrated with no bulb to replace, the housing is sealed to IP65 for fully exposed positions, and it hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection with a concealed backplate. Both versions arrive ready to wire with the backplate already fitted.

  • Black aluminium body with polycarbonate diffusers
  • Raised retro ring detail
  • Integrated LED, no replaceable bulb
  • Single ended: 12W, 1200 lumens
  • Double ended: 24W, 2400 lumens, up and down
  • 26 cm wide, 10 cm high on both versions
  • IP65 rated for wet locations and full exposure
  • Hardwired, 110 to 120V and 220 to 240V

Ellery Ring Wall Sconce, Retro Black IP65 Waterproof LED Up Down Outdo

Suits Brick And Timber

The raised ring gives a plain tube a period suggestion, which is why the Ellery settles on an older house or an industrial conversion. Against painted timber and brick it looks like it belongs there, in a way that smooth modern render rarely gives back.

Outdoor lighting in use

One Way Or Both

The single ended throws 1200 lumens one way, which suits a high mounting where you want only a downward wash. The double at 2400 lumens throws up and down and covers much more wall, so it is the better call at eye level.

Shallow, Sealed, Ready Wired

Both versions share the same 26 cm width and shallow 10 cm height, so they sit close to the wall and do not intrude on a passage. The housing is sealed to IP65 and each arrives ready to wire with the backplate already fitted.

Frequently asked questions

Should I take the single or the double ended version?

The single ended throws light one way at 1200 lumens and suits a fixture mounted high where a downward wash is all you want. The double ended at 2400 lumens throws both up and down and covers far more wall, which makes it the better choice at eye level or on a large plain elevation.

Do the two versions differ in size?

No. Both are 26 cm wide and 10 cm high, so they sit equally close to the wall and neither intrudes into a passage more than the other. The only difference is whether light leaves one end or both, and the output that goes with it at 1200 or 2400 lumens.

Which colour temperature should I choose?

Both versions come in warm light at 3000K and white light at 5000K. Warm at 3000K suits the retro detailing and sits comfortably on brick, painted timber and older buildings. White at 5000K is cooler and reads more industrial, which can work on a converted building where you want the light to feel functional.

Can it go on a fully exposed wall?

Yes. The housing is sealed to IP65 for fully exposed positions, so it does not need a porch roof or an overhang above it. It hardwires to a standard fixed outdoor connection through a concealed backplate, which keeps the wiring out of sight once the fixture is mounted on the wall.

What is it made of and is there a bulb to change?

The body is black aluminium with a polycarbonate diffuser at each end, banded by the raised retro ring. The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb and nothing to replace over its working life. Both versions arrive ready to wire with the backplate already fitted to the fixture.
