Ember Kerosene Wall Sconce, Antique Bronze Crackle Glass Indoor Wall Light for Hallway, Stairway & Dining Room

The Ember copies the shape of an old kerosene lamp, with a tall glass chimney rising from a bronze metal base and bracket. Three glass options are offered and they change the fixture considerably: frosted glass gives a soft even glow, clear crackle throws broken highlights across the wall, and tea crackle warms the whole thing down towards amber.

This is a dry location fitting. The manufacturer does not rate it for rain, so it belongs indoors or somewhere genuinely sheltered: a hallway, a dining room wall, a stairwell, a covered porch that stays dry in weather. Mounted in a pair or a run of three along a wall it does a lot of work in a period or farmhouse interior.

It takes a standard E26 bulb, which is not included, so the character of the light is your decision. A warm filament bulb suits the shape and is visible through the crackle glass options, which is where most of the charm sits. At 40 cm high and 13 cm wide it is a moderate size, large enough to notice but not so large that a pair overwhelms a narrow hallway. Choose the crackle glass if you want the light to have movement rather than sit flat on the wall.
