Description
The Marlow is a six sided lantern in the old street light idiom, hung from a short chain rather than fixed to a wall. The aluminium frame is finished in black or bronze and the panels are acrylic rather than glass, so it survives a knock and does not put much weight on the ceiling fixing. Lit, it throws a warm patterned light out through all six facets and down onto whatever sits below it.
It suits a porch ceiling, a covered walkway, a pergola or the underside of a balcony. The chain is adjustable, so you can set the drop to suit the height you are working with rather than accepting a fixed length. The ceiling plate is small enough to sit neatly against a timber soffit. Hung in a row along a covered path it gives a traditional, settled look.
This one takes a standard E26 bulb, which is not included, so you choose the colour temperature and the brightness yourself. That also means you can fit a dimmable bulb if you want the option later. It is rated for wet locations and hardwires to a fixed connection. Some assembly is required, so allow a little time when you come to install it.
